KALYAN: The Ramanagar police in Dombivli have arrested a man for allegedly killing his 50-year-old mother. The accused, Roshan Ghorpade (26), was believed to be upset with his mother, Rekha, for quarrelling with his wife, Sanjana, who had left their house last Tuesday following the dispute.
Cops said that following Roshan's marriage to Sanjana last year, the latter and Rekha had frequent disputes over household chores. Sanjana's departure following Tuesday's dispute had allegedly left Roshan infuriated and he therefore killed his mother by hitting her with a hard object. The incident occurred on Saturday evening.
When the accused's brother, Nilesh, reached the house, he found the victim unconscious and rushed her to the Shastri Nagar hospital in Dombivli where she died during treatment.
