Shinde's terror remark: BJP demands apology from Sonia

New Delhi: The BJP, the RSS and the Congress are yet again involved in a war of words, this time over Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde's remarks that the training camps run by them were promoting Hindu terrorism. At the last day of the Congress's Chintan Shivir in Jaipur, Shinde took to stage and while talking about the security situation in the country, flayed the BJP and the RSS for what "promoting Hindu terrorism".
He alleged that after investigations, it had been found that the RSS was behind the Samjhauta, the Mecca Masjid and the Malegaon blasts. He stated that the RSS first planted bombs and then blamed the minorities.
The BJP has called the allegations baseless and demanded an apology from Congress president Sonia Gandhi. The party has also sought an explanation from Digvijaya singh who had backed Shinde's claims.
The BJP accused Digvijaya Singh of eulogising Parliament attack convict Hafiz Sayeed and levelling allegations against a nationalist organisation like the RSS.
Meanwhile, Saeed himself praised Shinde for the remarks. He said, "Shinde has spoken truth finally. We consider this a help from Allah for Pakistan which is
always (accused) by India for terrorism." The Jamaat ud Dawa tweeted, saying, "We appreciate Media, rightly judging the enormity of Indian ministers confessional statement".
