New Delhi: After Boman Irani, if any actor can keep live audiences in splits during an awards ceremony, it's none other than Riteish Deshmukh. Known for his wit and humour, Riteish exactly knows the pulse of the audiences and doesn't let any moment go in vain. Even during the recently held Zee Cine Awards, the actor entertained the audiences with his funny punch lines. But, what made the show even more interesting was his 'jugalbandi' with co-host Abhishek Bachchan.
While Riteish has entertained the live audiences many a times at various award functions, it was Junior Bachchan's first attempt at hosting an awards function. And boy, Abhishek was great at it. The actor, just can't tickle the funny bones with his on-screen performances, he can even give a good competition to Riteish when it comes to live performances. The two did not stop poking fun at each other about their films and earlier performances.
Known for their humour, the duo did not even spare any of the celebrity present at the award functions. Even newlywed Vidya Balan couldn't escape their tongue-in-cheek humour. Vidya, who is not too keen to lose a few pounds, became a butt of jokes for her weighty issues and Riteish and Abhishek joked about her being pregnant. When the actress went onto the stage to collect her award, Riteish couldn't stop himself and said, "By the way, it's very unfortunate that even before Siddharth, Sujoy had got Vidya pregnant!"

The duo kept the audiences entertained with their antics not just on the stage but also backstage. While Riteish looked at ease, Abhishek Bachchan gave his full support to funny man Riteish Deshmukh in his acts. The two seemed at ease as they have also worked together in 2005 film 'Bluffmaster' and are also close friends off-screen. And, their rapport transcended into their work as hosts on the show.
